WOW! Monster Card Today! Free Sports Picks 6/12/07

Just finished handicapping today’s games and I came up with a monster card with plenty of free sports picks. Last month I had a 5 unit play on the Devil Rays with Kazmir on the mound which I lost. That is NOT the way to make money on sports haha. That was near the start of this blog and put me in hole right off the bat. Well, today I have another free sports pick of that caliber which I feel great about. Hopefully this time around, the results will be different and we WILL make money on sports!

Two words, DETROIT TIGERS. Justin Verlander has been solid all year unless he is pitching against the Cleveland Indians. Luckily today it’ll be the Brewers. He just seems to keep getting better. His ERA and WHIP are both lower than last year (don’t forget he won 17 games and was money). On the other side, we have Jeff Suppan rocking a 4.17 ERA on the road. Take it for whatever it’s worth, his ERA against Detroit lifetime is 4.63. Although he has pitched well at Comerica, I just think he is facing Detroit at the wrong time as they are starting to pick it up again. Oh yeah, Milwaukee has never seen Verlander yet, so that’s a plus. Another stat that stands out is, Milwaukee also has one of the worst batting averages in the league on the road (.247) and the Tigers #2 in the league at home (.297) not to mention being on an absolute tear this past week (.341). With all that kept in mind, that’s why I love Detroit today. Hey, I could be completely wrong but I’ll take my chances. Only time will tell.

Although I lost backing New york (Mets) yesterday, I’m going to back them again. Maine vs Kuo. I’m sorry Dodger fans, Kuo is garbage. Mets at -116 is pretty damn cheap if you ask me. Again, that’s with Maine pitching. He’s not too shabby. I’d think this line is going to move up closer to game time. My magic ball that can see into the future tells me this Mets lineup is going to do some serious damage to Kuo.
