Treadmill incline motor help?
The other day I turned on my treadmill, and as soon as I turned it on the incline shot up to as high as it could go. No matter what I did it wouldn't go down. Everything else worked but the incline stayed put. We called the company and they said the nearest tech person was 3 hours away. We've looked online for help but so far nothing useful. Does anyone have any input on the matter?
it sounds like the switch to raise the incline is stuck in the closed position. Is that switch on a soft touch button pack (display)? If it is, you will probably have to replace the button pack. If it is an actual mechanical switch you could pull one of the wires on the switch and see if the down incline switch will now work. Either way you will probably have to take part of it apart. Unplug it first.
