Asics Nimbus - Feature And Benefit For You
The popular Asics Nimbus series is now back in its 12th incarnation. Packed with the latest features, the 2010 shoe is one of the highest performing neutral cushioned shoe available on the market and makes a great training shoe for both amateurs and club level runners alike.
The Gel Nimbus 12 was masterfully designed for neutral pronators or runners who underpronate, or supinate. This is most common in runners with high arches, who require extra cushion in their shoes to help absorb shock.
The Asics Nimbus 12 has been updated with the latest in Asics shoe technology. Featuring the all new Impact Guidance System, the shoe actively controls the motion of your foot from heel strike to toe-off to ensure that there is no excessive pronation.
The Gel Nimbus 12 also feature one of Asics’ latest technology called the Space Trusstic System. This feature give essentially adds midsole support to the shoe which ensures that there is very little energy lost through deformation of the shoe during heel to toe transition and when combined with the impact guidance system this ensures that the shoe is very fast and efficient to run in.
The Asics Gel Nimbus 12 has both fore foot and rear foot gel cushioning which makes the shoe ideal for road running on hard surfaces. The advantage of the gel cushioning system is that it is much more durable than either air of foam, and as such you are able to use shoes like the Gel Nimbus 12′s for longer than you would any other shoe.
Having gel cushioning in a running shoe also means that you don’t need to allow the shoe to rest for a day after any intense training session, as unlike foam cushioning (which becomes compressed) you don’t need to allow the cushioning to re expand back to its normal volume.
If you are looking for cushioning, these are the softest version of the Nimbus yet. Running on a treadmill or anything short of hard cement and you will feel like you are running on soft earth.
