Cotton Yoga Pads Vs Organic Rubber Mats: Which Are Best?
Yoga is
Cotton yoga mats are made from organic Egyptian cotton. There are lots of different reasons that people who buy these mats. Firstly, they're Eco-sensitive. Next, they are made from 3 different types of mats. Next, they're re-usable. Finally, they're perfectly relaxing.
There are many advantages of organic cotton yoga mats. They're very cheap. They are totally comfortable. They retain sweat in the mat. They're so easy to scrub. They have many options for cool designs. They are also awfully affordable.

There are many advantages for natural rubber mats. They have required provided cushioning. They've a major variety of brands that sell them. They are safe due to the fact they're made from a hundred percent rubber. They are machine cleanable. They can be acquired literally anywhere.
There are many similarities between natural fabric yoga mats and natural rubber mats. They are both reusable. They're both Eco friendly. They're both utilized for yoga. They're both intended for safety. And last though not least, they are intended for cushioning.

So this leads us to our question. Which yoga
Lisa Zendow is a lifelong yoga student and
New to Yoga. Should I get a 1/2" thick mat?
I'm around 5'7" and weigh around 200lbs.....
I'm planning on doing some exercises in which Yoga is incorporated into the routine.
I have hardwood floors.
Should I get a 1/2" thick yoga mat? If so would I need to buy a special bag to put it in since it would be thicker than a regular mat or should I just hang it somewhere when I'm not using it?
Thx
@Dave....so is that a "yes" ?
I would get a padded mat, not the one they sell for yoga, but one from the sporting goods store for comfort, and also a few little pillows, and a yoga brick. Also, don't sign a contract, and don't let the teacher force you to do any position involving forward body work if you have a bad back. So, I vote for a thicker, more padded mat, not the flat, less resilient one, they sell as a yoga mat. Mine wraps up and has elastic to keep it easy to carry, but I could sew a carrier, if necessary. Good luck. Personally, I love the Pilate's classes way more. It makes me feel like a million bucks.
