Lose Weight By Walking
Many people believe that the only way to successfully lose unwanted weight is to exercise and eat bland tasting food. This is not the whole truth. There are many people that are extremely busy and do not have the time or energy to hit the gym after a long day at work. So, how can these people keep fit? You can keep fit simply by walking. A person’s weight is mostly based on calorie intake. Calorie loss will depend on your daily food intake. There are 3500 calories in a pound of fat. If you are trying to achieve faster weight loss it would be best to re think your end goal. Start with a sensible and reachable goal. Target a pound or two a week. You may also want to research on ways on how to lose stomach fat fast.
There is a simple formula in burning calories through walking. Your actual weight X distance=actual energy that was used during walking. Whether you walk for an hour or 5 minutes does not really matter. What is important is the distance that you walk. If you are just starting to burn calories by walking, it is advisable to walk at a slower pace, especially if you are using a treadmill. Focus on walking a longer distance. As you get more comfortable you may increase your walking speed.
Walking fast does not necessarily promise better results. More calories are burned per mile when you are walking at a lower speed because with each step that is taken you need to stop and start. As opposed to jogging or running wherein it is your momentum that keeps you going. However, when you walk faster it is almost automatic that your arms swing in motion to your stride. This is another motion that will help to burn calories by walking.
Walking is the simplest form of exercise. A quick 30 minute walk in moderate speed can burn fat that helps build muscle which in return speeds up your metabolism. Another added benefit of walking instead of running or jogging is that you do not put any added weight or stress on your knees. Walking regularly is also known to reduce the risk of certain diseases such as breast cancer, heart disease, colon cancer, diabetes and strokes. With that said 30 minutes to an hour a day walking does not seem so tiresome.
Regular exercise and eating right daily are essential to living a long life. Exercising daily may take some extra effort but the benefits will definitely be worth it.When you are thinking about beginning a new diet or you want to lose extra weight be sure to research first. Choose a type of diet that will be suitable for your lifestyle. Also, be aware of fad diets that promise fast results. Most of these diets are unhealthy and promote bad eating habits. Be knowledgeable about the food you put into your body because this will give you the energy you need to get a good workout. Another alternative would be to try the Fat Loss 4 Idiots Review.
Treadmill!!!!!!!!?
I was wanting to get back into exercising on my treadmill. How often should I go on it and what mode should I use? Like should I go by calories, distance, time and for how long? Any suggestions would be great.
As long as its daily and you sweat, and it's on an incline, you're doing good. You should feel the burn as they say.
Two to Three miles on an incline treadmil is a very good workout, regardless of speed, although the fastest you can handle is the best.
Personally when I do my treadmill workout, I do it everyday, (not skipping any days), an incline of 15%, and a speed of almost 4miles/hr (4.0) for about 45min.
Of course when if first started it was less and after about a week I was up to this.
